I’m not a person who has a lot of jewelry. Not because I don’t like it but because being a mom I rarely get to buy anything special for myself outside of new underwear. That’s why I’m so excited about my new find in Tina Steinberg Designs. Tucked in the corner of Anela’s Apothecary at the Bel Villaggio shopping center, Tina sells jewlry that is unique, interesting, and beautiful. My favorite line in Tina’s portfolio is the “Love Touch” collection. These unique heirloom keepsakes are made with an impression of your family member’s finger print and are perfect for new parents. This is an awesome alternative to the standard footprint that most of us moms made when we brought our child home from the hospital.

The Love Touch collection isn’t just for newborns however. I had the opportunity to take my four year old son to Tina’s home studio to “make a craft”. He was all to excited to stick his little finger in the silver compound that is much like silly putty. To add an even more personal touch, Tina inscribes your family member’s name in the back for the perfect keepsake. I got the square dog tag like shape so that I could give it to my son to wear when he grows up.

Tina’s work started as a dream that was inspired by the love of her life: her family. She had been searching for a special piece of jewelry to commemorate her children and only a simple, yet unordinary, timeless-with-a-twist design would do.
