Women Inspring Women at Mymompreneur Meetup Group

circleofhandsThere’s nothing more magical than sitting in a room full of women and mom entrepreneurs and hearing their stories of success. Mymompreneur.com kicked off it’s first successful meetup group last week with ten dynamic women with one major thing in common, reinvention.

We gathered at The Melting Pot in Temecula, Ca. and shared stories of what brought out the entrepreneur in each of us. There were stories of heartbreak, appointment in corporate America, escape from another life, and need for personal expression. The group shared common backgrounds as teachers, therapists, artists, writers, and business women. This diverse group included the young, the mature, students, and women with decades of career experience. And the most exciting is that we are even and international group!

As we sipped wine and ate fondue we collaborated on a list of challenges and goals for 2010:

Challenges

  • Making time for my business while maintaining a “day job”
  • Finding the right niche/network
  • Resubmitting a novel
  • Advertising
  • Expanding into an affiliate business
  • Work-life balance
  • Building connections, referrals, leads
  • Finding funding

Goals for 2010

  • Make my business my “day job”
