Every Mompreneur knows the importance of work life balance and what a better balance than sipping a glass of wine at your favorite local winery and shopping at an exclusive holiday vendor’s event.
Tis the season for holiday boutiques. The first one of the year for me was a lot of fun. Keyways Winery in Temecula, Ca. has a monthly women’s wine tasting group called Brix Chicks which held a wonderful vendor event for its members yesterday.
Barley & Hops Old World Tavern served your choice of potstickers with pineapple, curry rice, or clam chowder. Then sip your wine and wander through the beautiful vendor displays while chatting with other Brix Chicks.
Among the vendors was Faith Williams of Miskobeez. Her stunning Etsy jewelry was captivating, delicate, and affordable.
In case you want to add a few sparkles to your Harley, Karine ensures me that she can “add bling to anything”.
Beads for Life offer less shimmer but more humanitarianism for the philanthropist in us all. Recycled magazines are shipped to Uganda where they are torn into strips and hand rolled into beads. The artwork is meticulous and beautiful.
Terri’s Brix Chicks meets on the second Wednesday of every month and is a wine tasting group especially for women. Members pay a monthly $10 dollars and purchase a bottle from the winery’s impressive menu. Each month’s meeting includes one glass of wine, dinner, fun, and friendship. It’s truly worth the time spent on mom’s night off.
