Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Women are starting businesses at nearly twice the rate of men and mothers constitute one of the fastest growing segments of new business owners. As a single parent, Holly Suso realized the unique needs for mom-owned businesses to be able to share experience, expertise, success, and challenges with each other as they build their businesses, while simultaneously creating long lasting referrals, partners, customers, friends, and work-life balance. Holly has combined fifteen years of Web Development, Product Management, and Business Development , to personally create a networking community  on and offline. This community is now known as MyMomprenuer, a company dedicated to empowering women and providing resources of help balance family life and entrepreneurship.

After receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Multimedia Design, Holly began her professional career in Information Technology for corporate companies in the San Francisco Bay area. In 2009 Holly found herself unemployed as a symptom of the floundering economy and relocated to Temecula, California. Lacking customers and friends to support her newly developed Mary Kay business Holly learned that proper networking was the key to successful business development.

“Each networking opportunity introduced me to amazing women doing inspiring, encouraging, and empowering things in their communities and businesses,” Holly says. She began blogging about the women she met in her community, and her own transition from the corporate world to a world of self-employment. The referrals and recommendations that she made on her blog gained popularity, and Holly found women actually requesting to be featured on MyMompreneur.com.

MyMompreneur works closely with community leaders to encourage recognition and patronization of Mom-owned businesses to “stimulate the Mom economy”. Holly has worked tirelessly to create a networking organization that does more than trade business cards at impersonal mixers. Members of MyMompreneur are welcomed into a community of mom entrepreneurs who are seeking sisterhood, professional growth, mentorship, and work-life balance. MyMompreneur recognizes the unique needs and contributions of mom business owners and provides a customized online community to allow women to promote their business, products, and services. MyMompreneur has a local chapter in Temecula, California that and two more chapters are opening San Diego.

The MompreneurIn addition to MyMompreneur, Holly is currently a Public Speaker, Business Coach, and Web Developer. She is the host of her own radio show, “Moms Empowering Moms,” which airs Wednesdays at 10 AM on Blog Talk Radio. She teaches social networking classes such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter, and also offers blog boot-camps for those looking to raise awareness of their businesses online. Her technological background enables her to write a column, “Tech it Like a Woman” once a month for SAVVY Magazine, and she also serves on the magazine’s editorial board.

Holly resides in Southern California with her four-year-old son. Though she has a passion for family, cooking, wine, and entertaining, it is her son that is her true inspiration. Holly integrates her son into her home based business by giving him the title of “Admin Assistant”, his own office, regular daily meetings (for wrestling or reading), and salary (or allowance). “My son has always been my focus and priority. I’m teaching him the value of hard work, entrepreneurialship, and earning money while keeping him involved in the process of building a business.  I’m determined to leave a legacy that I have built for him rather than at his expense.”

Our Vision

We have identified five levels of entrepreneurship and Mymompreneur strives to be your resource for all.

  • I know that there’s something more to life than working for corporate America and I want the flexibility and gratification of being an entrepreneur and mom-owned business. I’m researching my opportunities for creating or joining an exciting business.
  • I have an idea and want to pursue it, but am unsure of how to get started or what comes next. I’m looking for business building resources and tools to help develop my vision.
  • I’ve taken the steps to start my business and now I need direction and support. I’m looking to build referral network of likeminded women who work together to overcome hurdles and reach for success.
  • My business is doing well but I’ve reached a plateau. I’m looking for mentors to help me brainstorm to consider new opportunities to advance my business to the next level.
  • My dreams of building a successful, strong business are now a reality. All the years of hard work have paid off. I am now able to share my insight and knowledge. I’m looking to give back to my community and share my knowledge, challenges, triumphs, and expertise as a mentor and friend

Mymompreneur is committed to providing a true source of community encouraging members to become active and involved in making this the best place to connect, engage, and network with mom entrepreneurs.
